GREEN EVENT: Weekend course in basketmaking

Learn traditional techniques for making square baskets, practise borders and handles, and learn about the growing, harvesting and preparation of willow for use. The course is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. Tutor Pippa Scott has lived in the hills of mid-Wales for 32 years, keeps bees and grows vegetables. She has made baskets for 12 years, practises willow growing and harvesting, and is involved in living willow projects for gardens and schools. Cost: £120 (includes lunch); plus £70 for accommodation and breakfast and evening meals. Free camping also available.
